Welcome to our annual celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles.
During the Feast of Tabernacles, we have a special opportunity to worship God and fellowship and rejoice for eight days with our brethren, away from the toils and cares of everyday life. Let us therefore diligently prepare ourselves both physically and spiritually to enjoy this wonderful opportunity God has given us. This festival provides us with the opportunity for much needed rejuvenation and restoration of our zeal and enthusiasm for the Lord. We also anticipate a rekindling of the fire within us, and a fresh anointing.
The Feast of Tabernacles speaks of the messianic Kingdom: a new life without the ravages of the curse of sin, when righteousness will become a reality in the earth. The Feast also portrays life, as it will be in God’s millennial Kingdom when he gathers the remnant of His people together. The Lord will not only gather his people, but He will tabernacle in their midst: “ My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed, I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore” (Ezek. 37:27-28; cf. Rev.21: 3).
During the Feast, we are called to rejoice before the Lord and worship Him in the beauty of holiness. We must bring our gifts to the Lord in appreciation for all that He has done for us. We must also offer ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto the Lord. Our motive for celebrating the Feast must be right and clear. If we have a desire to please God, our fruit will be patience, joy, peace, love, kindness, gentleness and self- control (The Fruit of the Spirit).

THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES
PRAY AND FAST FOR A SPIRITUAL REVIVAL”
During the Feast, everyone is encouraged to devote time to reading the Bible, prayer and fasting, which causes one to become more spiritually sensitive to the Lord, causing more power into one’s life to combat the forces of satan. Meditating and Fasting is a process by which our prayers become more perfectly focused. Fasting with prayer acts as a refining fire that burns out bad thoughts, criticism, envy, and hatred, allowing us to be filled with love and compassion. Through meditation, prayer and fasting, the Holy Spirit awakens and renews our minds and reveals the Word of God to us in ways that we can never imagine. When we fast, God responds to our willingness to humble ourselves and releases His mercy and grace. (“If any man will come unto me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me…….” – Lk. 9: 23, 24)
